A Masterful Indoor Kitchen: Making Dreams Come True for Coatesville
Love Kitchens had the absolute pleasure of designing and constructing a beautiful indoor kitchen for Matt and Jenna Cunneen in their brand-new Coatesville home.
This project had the unique opportunity to begin with a completely open and customisable design for the kitchen and scullery. Working alongside Matt and Jenna, Rhys thoughtfully handpicked the specific materials and their placements.
Right from the beginning, their vision included a prominent 50mm thick American oak benchtop at the heart of the kitchen.
This remarkable piece not only featured subtle sink drainer grooves but also cleverly integrated a flush push-to-open chopping board seamlessly within the thickness of the benchtop.

The rest of the kitchen boasts equally impressive and functional features. At night, the vertical American Oak Strips truly come to life, accentuated by the gentle glow of the under-bench LED recessed lighting. Notably, this illumination also highlights the convenient built-in self-filling doggy bowl, thoughtfully included for their beloved furry companions.

Continuing the exceptional design details, the kitchen fronts were meticulously crafted from 18mm Sorano Oak. The precision extends to the handle cutouts, concealing even the dishwasher behind its seamlessly integrated front panel.
On the hob side, a touch of industrial flair and durability is introduced with the 5mm thick stainless steel benchtop and splashback. This choice not only adds a rugged charm but also serves to complement and juxtapose the oak and ply grains. As a result, the vintage aesthetic of the retro-reeded glass sliding cabinets above the countertop is elegantly showcased.
